DANNY PHANTOM NOCTURN FREE

In Sam's dream, he and Sam were about to kiss until he woke her up. Nocturne then teleports to his base.ĭanny figures out that the only way to take the helmet off is to turn the dream into a nightmare, or to startle them awake. Danny then leaves to stop his Sleepwalkers, unaware Nocturne has reformed. With the help of his Sleepwalkers, after close fight, Danny manages to freeze, then shatter them, draining a good portion of his energy.

Danny breaks free and a fight begins between him and Danny. He explains he travels from town to to town 'harvesting' the energy from dreams.

He took Danny down to Vlad's lab, planning to throw him into the Ghost Zone again, introducing himself and telling him his plan. Danny Phantom defeated him in his dream with the help of Tucker, Sam and Jazz.ĭanny first met Nocturne at some point before the start of 'Frightmare' as he vaguely remembered fighting him and we see a flash back of it, after Nocturne defeated Danny he had his Sleepwalkers throw him into the ghost zone, and then went about putting the rest of the town to sleep with the help of his Sleepwalkers, Danny meets him again at Vlad's mansion, after being captured by his Sleepwalkers. His hideout is in the local Mattress Factory near the harbor of Amity Park, the giant antennae on top absorbing the dream energy of everyone in the city and possibly the whole world. His name 'nocturne' means a musical composition inspired by or evocative of the night.He and his army of Sleepwalkers made the entire citizenry of Amity Park fall into a deep slumber, slipping a metal helmet on each person's head (shocking anyone who tries to take it off), to absorb their dream energy (according to him, good dreams are the kind that produce oneiric energy nightmares produce none whatsoever), increase his power, and become all-powerful.Nocturne later appeared amongst the countless other ghosts to help Danny turn the planet intangible, to save it from the Disasteroid. He was left powerless and was easily subdued with the Fenton Thermos. Nocturn was weakened enough that Danny and Sam managed to beat him and wake him up, along with everyone else. However Tucker managed to jam the frequency of the antenna that the sleep ghost was using to harness dream energy. They found him asleep in a chamber in his lair that would allow him to gain more energy.ĭanny and Sam went to face Nocturn in his dream, but their attempts to fight him did little due to the amount of power he'd gained. He managed to use his overshadowing powers to enter the dreams of Sam, Tucker, and Jazz and woke them up, then managed to track down Nocturn's base, an abandoned mattress factory.

Danny managed to figure out the only way to get one of the sleep helmets off was by shocking the sleeper in their dream.

He went off to deal with the Sleepwalkers, not knowing the dream ghost had reformed, though he was still weakened, and had teleported back to his base. However due to absorbing dream energy Nocturn was able to survive and regenerate. Danny broke free of his bonds and fight ensued between the two, with Danny emerging the victor after he succeeded in freezing, then shattering Nocturn. Nocturn and the Sleepwalkers went from town to town, putting the people to sleep and harnessing dream energy from them. They subdued him and the sleep ghost brought Danny back to his parent's lab, then proceeded to introduce himself, before explaining what he was doing. He returned to Amity Park to find everyone fast asleep and was confronted by the Sleepwalkers and Nocturn. He then put the rest of the town to sleep and began harnessing their dream energy, however Danny managed to wake up. Nocturn set his Sleepwalkers on Amity Park, at one point battling Danny Phantom and defeated him, before putting him to sleep and having his minions, the Sleepwalkers, toss him into the Ghost Zone. At his most powerful, Nocturn is one of the few ghosts that can easily regenerate lost body parts and from being blown or shattered into pieces, similar to Undergrowth. Without it, all his powers decrease to the point of nonexistence. Using special helmets that can sap the oneiric/dream energy out of a person when he or she is dreaming peacefully, to channel the energy into him or his capsule. The more people that are dreaming and producing oneiric energy, the stronger he becomes. He is the powerful ghost of sleep and dreams who can put people to sleep, summon an army of ghost called the Sleepwalkers, and can absorb dream energy to make himself stronger and give himself more power. Nocturn is the main antagonist of the Danny Phantom episode Frightmare.
